July 2010 Saturday 3rd Monthly General Meeting at McInerney Ford @ 2.00pm Saturday 17th Slot Cars Maddington Meeting at Centro Dianella Plaza, Dianella (behind the Woolworths servo) at 5pm for a 5:30pm departure, we will head to the Slotcar track in Maddington. Park across the road at McDonalds and grab a quick bite to eat and then head over to the track by 7pm to sign on and start qualifying. Cost is $10 per person and we have the track for 2 hours with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Friday 20th Quiz Night @ Melville Bowling Club Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Fully licensed venue, NO BYO alcohol. BYO nibblies. Tickets $12 each with tables of 8 and can now be purchased from the Treasurer. September 2010 Saturday 4th of September Monthly General Meeting at McInerney Ford @ 2.00pm Friday 24th to Monday 27th September Long Weekend Away Geraldton This year we have decided to do something different and hold the annual Club weekend away in September instead of June. I have tentatively booked accommodation at the Ocean West Holiday Units in Geraldton www.oceanwest.com.au and there are two accommodation options. If you would like to have your own unit, the cost will be $125 per night. This is a one bedroom unit, which also has a double fold out sofa in the family room. The other option is a 3 bedroom unit, which holds 6 people. There is a queen bed in one room and two single beds in each of the other rooms. The cost of these units is $175 per night, which will be split between the number of people who will be in the unit - roughly about $30 per person per night. There is an undercover bbq facility and each unit has air-conditioning to the living room. On the Sunday of the long weekend there is the Midwest Show’n’Shine which our Club will be entering and you will be more than welcome to join in. The cost to enter your car is $40. We are also looking into having another Club event on the Saturday, which members will be more than welcome to join in with as well. Other than that, the weekend will be free to do whatever you want to. So enjoy! Due to it being a Long Weekend, the owner of the units will need numbers as soon as possible, so the closing date for this event is the July meeting. You can pay from now onwards and we are happy for you to pay a little bit each month until the July General Meeting. If you would like anymore information please don’t hesitate to ask. October 2010 Saturday 2nd Monthly General Meeting at McInerney Ford @ 2.00pm Sunday 3rd MC Motorsports We have booked 1 skidpan for the whole day – 1 am session and 1 pm session – with 2 instructors. Cost per participant will be $75, with a maximum of 16 people in the morning session and 16 in the afternoon session. Deposits for this event can start being paid for anytime from now. Be sure to get in early to avoid missing out as there are only 32 spots (max.) Trailer & esky will be there with raffle tickets being handed out to participants on the day for a free sausage sizzle. Same will be available to all spectators at a cost of $2 each. Sunday 24th Cryptic Cruise Details to be advised.
